Took a girl here for our date! On the outside it looks alittle sketchy being next to a dollar store. But walk inside and holy Santa clause shit! This place makes you feel like you are walking into a 60s lounge! Order me a scotch and call me dean martin! New favorite place

This place had made an excellent first impression. Solid competition to dirty dog jazz cafe? yeah I'm in! As a person who used to frequent dirty dog (but stopped due to limited space and rising prices) I got very excited to see a large hall, great live FREE music, and friendly deals. And then my bubble popped due to generally bad experience: -my table ordered food all at the same time, everything came separately. I waited 1:20h for my appetizer... -my mixed drink (some very bad well stuff) gave me food poisoning. We all ate each others food due to long waiting time and nobody suffered like I did. I was the only one drinking a mixer. -my server couldn't answer simple questions. Now in agreement with many other reviews: wait staff dressed in booty shorts, cat ears and cheetah belly tops is totally killing the mood. We dressed formally expecting an elegant experience, and strip-club "clothed" staff made things awkward. Don't take me wrong, I do like pretty girls as well but when the place and occasion are calling for it. Not a huge deal, but worth bringing into managements consideration. I really want to love and frequent this place, but both food poisoning and over an hour wait for an appetizer are very bad signs. Maybe? perhaps? I may give them a shot in the future? I adore the concept of this place but I'm very sad to say that the application failed

I've been here enough times now that everything I've said earlier has been proven out time and time again. Be here. Often.

Just got into the cigar scene and let me tell you this place is top notch like it's on the Vegas strip! Our bartender/waiter was one of the best in the business. Gave me excellent cigar and beer choices! Even the food was great. This is diff my new spot to lounge.

For the east side, the Stray Cat is about as good as it gets. Great decor, great beer selection, amazingly gorgeous wait staff, you can smoke cigars, and they have TVs everywhere. On top of the that, I ordered the steak bites, and I swear there was 16-18oz of steak on my plate. I was literally *stuffed* after finished that app. The only downside is the location. It's hard to find. I drove by twice with my Navi on and still couldn't find it. But once I got in, I was blown away...thought I was in Birmingham. Will I go back? Absolutely.

Love, Love, LOVE this place. We try to make it once a week. Usually on Thursday. After all, it's Happy Hour prices all night long on Thursdays. The only downside we've found is the DJ plays extremely loud, dance music to a crowd that looks like they would rather be talking. Perhaps a little quieter... or play some Sinatra, Crosby, Como, Williams. That seems to fit a martini and cigar bar better, in my opinion. But, I recommend that you go here. The drinks are great, the food is great, the service is great, and it's very relaxing.

Stray Cat is an absolutely wonderful place to visit if you're looking for good cigars, a variety of cordials, wine, and martini's, and of course great music. I have not been to a lounge that allows cigars where the air inside is about as clean as it is outside. Anyone who doesn't like the smell of the smoke should not worry because it will be cleansed out really quick. Being a NON-Smoker I was hesitant to go in (no liking smoke at all) but their ventilation system in there is excellent!! Talk about big money spent!! All staff is very friendly, knowledgeable about products, and can make great recommendations. The only problem is trying to find the place tucked away in that corner!! Looking forward to dragging more friends out, and enjoying the atmosphere!

Used to be classy, now it seems kinda trashy. Been coming here a while now and they started off great but things have been going downhill fast lately. The waitresses used to look great, but now it seems they're supposed to wear cat ears and unflattering corsets. One waitress in particular just made me uncomfortable, I swear she was about to expose herself every time she went to put down a drink. I could tell from the expressions on other people's faces that I wasn't the only one thinking that. I don't think she smiled once, not that I blame her. I would be too happy about serving drinks half naked either. They've had a few great funk/blues bands in here too but lately they've had a few subpar rock and other generic civet bands playing on the weekends. They've done a complete 180 from the classy/sophisticated vibe they worked hard to achieve...I have no idea what happened here.

I am signing up for yelp just to leave this post. SPECIFICALLY TO LEAVE THIS POST. Lemme start by saying the manager there had to be drunk. This lady had no idea what she was doing and thought she was slick. Had the Ashton VSG Sorcerer. Great Cigar. Worst Old Fashion Ive ever had. Terrible Spinach Dip. Good shrimp Tacos- good dipping sauce with it. Ordered a Jameson (which I drink enough to know the taste) the blonde haired manager poured me a Canadian Club, asked to take it back and re-pour the jameson, which then tasted like Jameson. Ordered the key lime cheese cake, they didn't have it, no big deal, ordered the mixed berry cheese cake- which was good (costco but fine), BUT I DIDNT ORDER THE LONG STRAND OF HAIR THAT CAME IN IT. So when I asked the waitress (who was a complete sweet heart) for the manager she brought me over this blonde (so you can identify her) white trash lady who had every excuse in the book for everything that went wrong and tried to tell me she was the one who poured the Jameson, and continued to argue with me when I called her out on her bullshit. And I don't doubt that she poured it, but she didn't pour Jameson and tried to save herself .37 cents on the drink like we weren't going to know the difference. Her remedy to the hair in the cheese cake (FUCKING GROSS) was to give me a hug, her words exactly "well im sorry for the hair but it does come with a free hug"and then hugged me, this bitch must be crazy, and must think she's good looking enough to where a fucking hug is gonna remedy her nasty ass hair in my mouth. She asked us what we wanted her to do. I said nothing, I just want to tell her whats going on. Instead of actually listening to what I had to say she comes back with 5 bullshit coupons which were circumstantial coupons a insult if you ask me. Would I like to go back here? Yes because the atmosphere is great and I love smoking good cigars but this blonde hair "manager" was a drunk disgrace who insulted me and my friends to our face with her garbage talk, drunk attitude (if you wanna get drunk at work, thats cool with me but know how to handle your shit) and shitty remedy to me CHEWING a hair, which absolutely killed it for me so me nor any of my people will ever return. Oh yeah, did I mention the coffee I ordered got brought to me in a Moscow Mule cup (Not the most comfortable on the fingers or lips when tried to take a sip) pretty sure this manager chick was the owner...sad.....

I went here on a whim with my girlfriend and a buddy for a much needed night out on a Saturday night. The location, accessibility, and parking are all great. The decor walking in is also very tasteful. It's a nice establishment that feels upscale. Once our party was inside, it was awkward while one staff member said she was going to find us a seat, then had another staff member immediately come up and ask for IDs. When we looked up, the original staff member had disappeared somewhere and didn't come back. So our little party of three found a place on a couch, with the assistance of the second staff member, next to another couple and not far away from the band that was playing. The atmosphere felt great (when the band was playing). When the band took a break, the music shifted from light rock to bad club "hits" that really didn't fit the mood. I guess they're trying to appeal to the younger crowd that we came in to Stray Cat to avoid in the first place. Trust me, nobody in there really wants to hear Sean Paul's "Temperature". The selection of drinks was very extensive and the list of cigars was excellent as well. Pricing is fair. Our only real problem with the place was our service. I think Stray Cat just hires any pretty girl regardless of any serving experience. The server was very polite but we were consistently waiting on something and then being told our selection was unavailable. This was busy Saturday night so I'll cut her some slack. Twice the server had to return and tell my buddy his cigar selection was unavailable, she forgot drinks we had ordered, and told us the slim cigars were unavailable as we watched another table order and receive theirs. I would love to come back to Stray Cat Lounge on a night that it's not so busy for a hopefully better experience. I also hope they train their staff to know what's unavailable, so first-timers like us don't leave with a sour impression. Stray Cat Lounge is the place I would go when I want to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, a glass of scotch, and a fine cigar. If they stick to focusing on that, we'll make ourselves regulars.

I'm not sure what all of the other reviewers are seeing in this place that I'm not. It does have a great decor, especially for small groups. The food and drink menus were not inspiring. They a decent craft beer selection on tap, but at least a dollar or two more expensive than most other places. We had the pulled pork sliders. They tasted like they were made of pre packaged pulled pork with sauce, deli coleslaw, and frizzled onions. The chips on the side came right from a GFS bag. I wish they would change the stale 'martini' list up for some well crafted cocktails and drop the GFS pre made food for a few well made things in house.

Been here a couple times and really like the place. Location is a bit hidden in the corner of a strip mall and the storefront is discrete. For a lounge their cigar selection is above average. They have lockers for rental as well. Not sure if the plan is to expand the cigar selection but they could use more of a range from low to high. Everyone should note the $7 cutting fee if you bring your own cigar. Great spot to relax and have a cigar with a drink. Also have a food menu but I have not eaten there yet.

They have a very selection of draft beers. I'm not a smoker but they seem to have quite the selection of cigars. I tried their chicken BBQ pizza and it was quite good. The service was very good.

Wonderful atmosphere reminiscent of Robusto's Food is wonderful (thanks to Chef John) Wait staff (Kristin and Jeremy) had fantastic recommendations for food and drink combinations. Owner Jackie is as gracious a host as one could ever hope for. Loved it all... it will be one of our favorite hangouts

Been to Stray Cats a few times. The first time I brought some guys that are constantly begging me to go back! They loved it! The atmosphere is great with the beautiful decor and friendly service. My biggest surprise...this place does not reek of cigar smoke. Upon leaving, my clothes had not one scent of it. That's a fantastic ventilation system! The food is excellent. I've had the meat and cheese plate a few times and it's hard not to order it...as I admit I think I'm addicted. Prices are what I would expect from a more upscale place like Stray Cats. Nothing absurd in price, but middle of the road and you definitely get what you pay for. They have good happy hour specials each day.

Stopped in here for a drink on my birthday and my drink was a very tasty mochatini. The atmosphere was nice but it was a little too night clubby for me. I imagine a cigar bar/ cocktail lounge to be a little more rugged over flashy. With a name like Stray Cat I was imagining something more along the lines of rockabilly. But I base my ratings on customer service for the most part. We were greeted at the door by a friendly gentleman and our waitress was super attentive and made sure we were aware of specials available. I would recommend this place for a small group.

Its definitely aiming for that rat-pack kinda vibe, and hits that mark pretty well. Retro Art -Van leather furniture and all that. Its just a little over the top on pricing though. Maybe i'm just poor, but you almost need to bring a whole paycheck if you wanna spend a good night out here - figure 5 top-shelf drinks, a couple shots, a decent cigar, and an appetizer and you're gonna drop about $150 w/ tip. EASY. Nice spot though.

Nice looking place trying to bring in the upscale cigar smoking crowd with very pricey drinks and small expensive menu.

WOW!!! outstanding, the king and queen of cool. The music of choice is nothing but smooth, along with the decor and the patrons it attracted . Even its location has an ironic twist of upscale cool, (hard to find and in a plaza, what!). Needles to say, we had a fabulous evening at this much needed club on the east side, NICE.
